The Benchwarmers Review
When a minor landscape service company owner, Gus (Rob Schneider), sees a physically incapable nerd (Max Prado) being bullied by a baseball crew, he stands up for the boy. And so, Gus invites him, named Nelson, and his friends, Clark (Jon Heder) and Richie (David Spade), to form a baseball squad. After defeating the bullies team, with a help from Mel (Jon Lovitz), a rich baseball fan, they made up the team "The Benchwarmers", which would compete against the best youth baseball squads.

There isn't much to comment about this movie, because there is nothing really special about it. As most comedies, it doesn't contain a well thought plot, or a nice variation of camera. It is the same type of comedy of Adam Sandler's movies, just like "Big Daddy", "Happy Gilmore", and "Grown Ups", because of the same director, Dennis Dugan. Yet, from all these movies I think "The Benchwarmers" is the worst, at least the one I laughed and smiled the less. Especially for the reason that I particularly enjoy the presence of Adam Sandler, giving a taste to the movie.
Therefore, this movie won't near the best comedy ever seen, even though entertainment is present. Chuckles will be enough for these 85 minutes. Enjoy the sloppiness!! Check it on Netflix!!

Even though I have never watched this movie, I think I do not want to see it, and that is good because I can see what the movie is about before I watch it and spoil it. Thanks
ReplyDeleteFrom what I saw I agree with Kryle Korver as I don't want to watch this movie. Thanks for making an article about it.
