The Longest Yard Review

The Longest Yard Review

Years ago, pro football player Paul Crewe (Adam Sandler), was accused of shaving points in the NFL. Even though everybody was convinced he was guilty, he was found innocent. Now, he lands in jail, found guilty for drinking and driving, disrespecting authority, and destruction of public property. He is sent to a prison in Texas, where the manipulative warden (James Cromwell) makes him the guard’s football team’s advisor. He then is obligated to become the leading quarterback in the prisoner's team, which will have to play against the guards. Crewe proceeds to draft prisoners for his team, teaching them how to play along the way. “We might not have the best team, but we’ll have the meanest”. (Burt Reynolds - Coach Nate Scarborough)
